My mom always told me that "Lazy people always work the hardest." Turns out she was right.
Lila was at a birthday party this afternoon and since my mom is visiting (more on that later) and was here to take care of the babies, I thought, "I'll finish painting the kids bedroom door" (which I started painting 2 months ago...)
Anyway, I got out my little bucket of paint and started painting. Let's just say that I didn't make all of the necessary preparations. I ended up spilling my bucket of paint all over the floor, a crib, my favorite pair of jeans, my favorite tennis shoes, the bookshelf (and a few books), the fan, a slipper, and more... ughhh...
I mean seriously, what was I thinking??
"Lazy people ALWAYS work the hardest." Story of my life!
p.s. the worst part is, I didn't even finish painting the door.

Why didn't you tell your mom to bring your dad, then he could have done the painting, I am so smart.

Oh yeah. Let's just say I work reeeeeally hard!
I LOVE that you have enough of a sense of humor to take pictures before cleaning up....
i'm sorry, but that was soo funny. you crack me up. i would've screamed and then cried. what were you thinking :) you have the perfect personality to raise twins. i'm jealous :) i wish i had your patience.
Em, I have that same little bucket that I use to paint, and I have projects that have been waiting to be painted for a year!! And I hate the prep work of painting, I am constantly cleaning up AFTER the mess rather than prepare BEFORE. It is just too hard to use your precious time in prep work. I totally understand! But, please tell me you salvaged the floor, the crib...and well, the clothes...even I know NOT to wear nice clothes while painting, so sorry, can't help you there! You are super funny!
I'm so sorry. That is sooo frustrating. Why is it that being a mom is one step forward, two steps back?? I guess that the important part is that we keep taking that step forward. Your awsome! Good Job on your intentions!
