Potions Perfection

In celebration of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince opening we wanted to share some of the potions Lila has whipped up recently. First we got to sample some polyjuice potion.

Here Lila is explaining the secret ingredients (apple juice, orange juice, & grape kool-aid). Unfortunately Lila is the only one that knows the exact proportions to use. The orange juice is key to giving it that cloudy grey color. Also Lila told us that it could only be made in the bathroom.

potions-1

It has to be gently stirred exactly 10 times.

potions-2

Zack consistently counts to 2 or 3 Spider-man style. It makes me so proud.

potions-3

Of course it would taste awful, everybody knows how gross polyjuice potion is (actually I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was).

potions-4potions-5

Just like Hermione, Lila suddenly became ill and said she had to go to a bathroom stall to be sick. Apparently all three of them accidentally got animal hair in theirs instead of a person’s hair.

potions-6

For her next potion Lila demonstrated her secret knowledge from the Great Book of Gummi by whipping up a batch of Gummiberry juice.

potions-7

As normal humans, Abby and Zack demonstrated the normal Gummiberry juice response of super strength.

Lila on the other hand, as a Gummi Bear demonstrated the trademark super bounciness.

I am going to request some Felix Felicis potion for Lila’s next potion. Let us know what you are interested in and we will see if Lila can get you some.

Oh man! What a hilarious post! I love that Lila insisted the potion could only be made in the bathroom (doesn't seem very sanitary). I also love seeing that extremely handsome pink & brown suit on Zack! What a little stud he is!

There is certainly never a dull moment at your place and I absolutely love it. I wouldn't mind some felix felicis myself. Maybe when I come over today she can whip some up.
Then I can rest assured Ezra will survive this flight.

Okay that's hilarious! I loved it! Apparently Lila pays very good attention to the Harry Potter stories at night. And, of course it wouldn't be complete without spiderman counting. I miss them.

HAha! Love the potions. My boys made them too the other day but they involved mud and food coloring. yum.

(p.s. I feel like the grandma who never gets to see pictures of her grandchildren who live far away because HELLO. They have grown up!!! Lila has glasses? Abby and Zac aren't toddlers anymore?

p.p.s Zack looks super handsome in his little brown suit. )

I request that Lila makes us a grapella orangadaba vanilaroma potion at the beach. Eliza and Brady were making dirt and grass soup at Grandma's the other day. I am excited to see what Lila's creative mind can add to their mixtures. I also can't wait for her to tell us more stories this summer.

Lila looks very cute in her new glasses. Eliza will be jealous. She was just asking me this week if she was ever going to get glasses like me.
