Here is this year’s poster. For you new readers check out our previous installments of "Kids Say The Darndest Things" (2007, 2008) for an explanation. With three little ones speaking their mind this year we have had a banger year. The column down the left side is dedicated to Lila's "Big Sisters" that we weren't aware of until this year. Lila was kind enough to enlighten us on their fascinating attributes and abilities throughout a good portion of the year. We don't see or hear much from them anymore, except for the token Christmas gift of new underwear that Lila's sister, Miss Swamp, brings every year.
To read the quotes you can zoom in and out on the image below. Just click the image (not the little box in the corner) with your mouse or roll your scroll wheel, or you can use the buttons at the bottom. To see different parts, you can just drag around with the little hand, or you can drag the blue box around in the upper left corner.
So what are your favorites? Let us know in the comments.

I feel very honored to have made the quote board twice, but I am going to say that my favorites were:
Z- Trunchbull comment (sorry Emily)
A- Finger crotches.
L- It is a toss up between peeing in the tub and Looking with her 2 eyes.
I do believe this is one of my favorite things about your kids. They are always sooo hilarious!
Loooove that you guys do this!
I know, I'm still scarred by the Miss Trunchbull comment!! :)
I loved Abby's comment about not liking "these kind of grapes". That one made me laugh out loud. I am really glad you keep track of these funny sayings. It's funny and makes me laugh when I read it. I noticed this year's edition had a lot of references to hiccups. Love you guys!
I must have missed the Ms. Trunchbowl comment so I went back to read it and I couldn't help but comment again. At least your own mother didn't tell you that you're starting to look like a "crotchety old teacher" with a bun in your hair and then have your sister in law tell you "ya, like Ms. Trunchbowl!" That was a booster for the self esteem... (Yet, my hair is in a bun as I type. Meh.)
My Favorite was when Lila asked if apples were made out of strawberries and milk.
shoot, it's not loading for me guys. I'll try again later...or in a different browser. Or just piece together what I can from the comments, ;)
Lila not needing a drink cause she can make water in her mouth. Lila wishing Alex to get better rather than wishing to fly (HUGE kid sacrifice). and Lila peeing in the bathtub. I don't believe Lila's big sisters can kill Lord Voldamort! We're not babies, we're Zack and Abby! The best is when Abby asked Zack if his super powers were good when he offered to help her cut her pancakes. That is cool. I also love all the ones where meanings and or words got confused. Like the other day I told Bryton, "if Makayla teases you, don't hit her back." he got mad and growled, "I didn't hit her in the back!! I kicked her in the leg!!!"
I still love that Zach knew Chubby had a new name but couldn't remember and that Abby calls Alex "Alex-the-zander" and giggles because she can't say it right. And, I loved when Lila told Abby she'd teach her how to be a big sister. Super cute. I'm glad you guys keep track of the darnedest things kids say. :) Excited to see you next week! (sorry we'll miss you Johnny!)
So fun! I love this family tradition of yours.
HI Emily, Brittanie gave me your info so we could get in touch about houses and MIT etc. My hubby and I are moving from NYC to Boston and would like to get in touch, could you email me??

Love the strawberries and milk = apples comment from Lila. Hope you're having fun hanging out in Utah. I'm enjoying the 'warmer' temps here in Idaho but excited to get back and hang out with you in a few weeks.
OH my Gosh!! Hilarious!! I loved Lila's peeing in the tub comment-- made me laugh out loud. So did others. You've got great kids, Em! It's good to catch up with all the goings on reading the blog. So happy for you and your family!
